Join us on 2/17 at 3pm in Hatch Auditorium for a seminar by Dr. Haider Warraich. There will be a reception to follow from 4:30-6:00pm. 

 

Dr. Haider Warraich is a cardiologist with expertise in heart failure and transplantation and a researcher with more than 185 peer-reviewed publications. He is also an internationally best selling writer with books spanning topics such as end-of-life care (Modern Death), cardiovascular disease (State of the Health), and most recently, chronic pain (The Song of Our Scars). He has also written frequently for the New York Times, Washington Post, Atlantic, among others.  

 

He is currently a program manager at ARPA-H, a US federal research agency modeled after DARPA, where his focus is on enabling the development, evaluation and implementation of autonomous clinical care technologies. He earlier served at the U.S. FDA as a Senior Clinical Advisor for Chronic Disease to the FDA Commissioner where he helped shape and advance policy around chronic disease, digital health and artificial intelligence. Previously, Warraich was a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Director of the Heart Failure Program, at the Veterans Affairs Health System in Boston.
