Kalmon D. Post, MD, Chair Emeritus of the Department of Neurosurgery, established this lectureship to foster the memory of his father, Dr. Bernard Post, the quintessential physician, and of his mother, Jeannette Dolgin-Post, a dogged litigator and a woman ahead of her time.

This year's honored speaker is Ann R. Stroink, MD, President of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Stroink is an accomplished, energetic physician leader with over 30 years of experience and proven record of program and business development in the neuro healthcare sciences. In addition to a full neurosurgery practice for Carle Health, she serves as System Medical Director, Neurosciences Quality and Educational Program Development for Advocate/Aurora Healthcare, she directs strategic planning for neurosurgery services across the multiple hospital system placing quality and value at the forefront. She holds faculty positions as an Adjunct Professor of Neurosurgery at Illinois State University and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Carle Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Stroink is co-founder of the Central Illinois Neuroscience Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing neuro healthcare through education and research, served as Director of Continuing Medical Education, trains residents in neurosurgery, and participates in clinical research.
