DESCRIPTION:On January 31\, 2019\, current Leadership of oSTEM at Mount Sin
 ai and the Stonewall Alliance sponsored the first Mount Sinai Charity Drag 
 Race. Hosted by Lagoona Bloo\, an NYC-based drag performer who appeared on 
 “The Voice”\, the event featured Mount Sinai drag performers\, faculty judg
 es and raffle prizes donated from local businesses! Over $2\,700 was raised
  and donated to the Ali Forney Center\, a NYC organization dedicated to pro
 tecting homeless LGBTQ youths and empowering them to live independently.\n\
 noSTEM at Mount Sinai is a chapter of a national society\, dedicated to inc
 reasing the participation of people who identify with lesbian\, gay\, bisex
 ual\, transgender\, nonbinary\, asexual\, queer\, and ally communities in d
 isciplines related to science\, technology\, engineering\, or mathematics. 
 Leadership of oSTEM include current Graduate Students and PostDocs: Tristan
  Fehr\, Eziwoma Alibo\, Christopher Panebianco\, M. Q. Perkins\, Phillip Co
 hen\, Gavi Hecht and Zebulon Vance. \n\nThe Stonewall Alliance\, formerly t
 he LGBTQ+ People in Medicine group\, is dedicated to improving the visibili
 ty and acceptance of the Mount Sinai LGBTQ+ community by working to develop
  a safe and supportive academic and professional environment through educat
 ional and social opportunities. Stonewall Alliance leadership includes curr
 ent Graduate and Medical Students: Akio Kozato\, Tyler Martinson\, Don Nguy
 en and Christopher Panebianco.
