 unt Sinai serve as a cornerstone of our department’s educational mission
 \, offering weekly lectures and case-based discussions led by leading neur
 osurgeons\, researchers\, and trainees. These sessions provide a platform 
 for the exchange of cutting-edge clinical knowledge\, surgical techniques\
 , and translational research\, while fostering critical thinking and multi
 disciplinary collaboration. Grand Rounds are open to faculty\, residents\,
  medical students\, and affiliated health care professionals.\n\n \n\nGues
 t Lecturer: Randy Bell\, MD\nTitle: 2nd Edition BTF Guidelines for the Man
 agement of Penetrating Traumatic Brain Injury: Case-Based Application\n\n 
 \n\nDr. Randy Bell is a Professor of Surgery at the University of South Da
 kota and the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Program at Avera
  McKennan Hospital and University Health Center in Sioux Falls\, SD.\n\n \
 n\nDr. Bell graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine a
 nd completed residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and
  the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda\, MD\, followed by a cerebr
 ovascular and endovascular fellowship at the Washington Hospital Center. H
 e served as a Navy neurosurgeon\, was stationed in Okinawa\, Japan\, and d
 eployed to Kandahar\, Afghanistan as the sole neurosurgeon for southern Af
 ghanistan. He later served as Chair of Neurosurgery at Walter Reed and the
  Uniformed Services University.\n\n \n\nDr. Bell has published extensively
  on traumatic brain injury\, particularly penetrating brain and cerebrovas
 cular injuries\, and has received numerous awards\, including the CNS Galb
 raith Award and the AANS Young Neurosurgeons Public Service Citation. Dr. 
 Bell is also the co-lead and first author of the Brain Trauma Foundation
 ’s 2nd Edition Guidelines for the Management of Penetrating Traumatic Br
