What issues do LGBT individuals face as they age? How does the stress of homophobia and transphobia exacerbate aging and contribute to "re-closeting" and "de-transitioning?" How can spiritual care perspectives inform the work of healthcare professionals in treating aging LGBT patients? In this workshop, attendees will hear from two clinicians and a spiritual care provider with expertise in working with LGBT patients who will address current research and best practices for working with an aging LGBT population. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a case study exercise.
