Topic: Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment
Dr. William Hung will facilitate a participant-driven discussion based on the Merck Manuals article Evaluation of the Elderly Patient.

William Hung, MD, MPH currently serves in the role of Associate Director of Clinical Programs at the GRECC and is a geriatrician at James J Peters VA Medical. He is also an Associate Professor of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Hung’s interest lies in designing and evaluating geriatric models of care to improve care of older adults, including older adults living in rural areas. He has developed and led a national program called GRECC-CBOC Connection (GRECC-Connect).
This project links geriatrics specialists from GRECCs located in urban tertiary medical centers, with rural areas through clinical video telehealth, electronic consultation, and educational teleconferences, providing case-based education and clinical support to rural providers.
