At the next Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine grand rounds, on Friday 07-February-2025, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Edward Anselm, MD, will present a lecture titled “Tobacco Cessation: A New focus on Practice Revenue and Systems Change”.

 

Edward Anselm, MD, obtained his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences–The Chicago Medical School in 1982 and completed an internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. He has served as Chief Medical Officer at several New York health plans including Emblem, Fidelis, and Health Republic, and recently retired from his position as a medical director for Aetna.

 

Dr. Anselm has managed tobacco cessation programs since 1983 and has taught students, residents, and faculty on how to engage with tobacco users. Most recently he has focused on use of electronic medical records to assess performance in tobacco cessation. He continues to teach at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he holds the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor.
