Speaker: 

Yelena Globina, MD, MPH

Yelena Globina, MD, MPH, is a board certified Occupational and Preventive Medicine physician. Dr. Globina has over 11 years of experience diagnosing and treating work related injuries including WTC first responders exposed at Ground Zero.  She is also experienced in creating and implementing worker health and safety programs. Dr. Globina is an Associate Professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and is the Medical Director for the Staten Island Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health Clinic.

Michael Gormley, RN

Michael Gormley, RN is a Clinical Nurse Manager at the Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health and the World Trade Center Health Program. A registered nurse with 30 years of experience in psychiatry, emergency medicine, and pain management, he also works per diem at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY. He has long been involved in hospital safety and serves as a Level 3 hazmat decontamination technician on a hospital-based team. Active in his community, Michael has been a firefighter, public safety diver, and safety officer with his local fire department since 2011.
