Before joining Mount Sinai, Dr. Gali Halevi was responsible for the development of research evaluation and metrics tools for Elsevier’s leading products and was the director of research evaluation metrics development programs. During her tenure at Elsevier she was also responsible for the organization and production of a series of seminars and conferences focusing on different aspects of the scientific and research endeavor worldwide. She was a member of the editorial board of Research Trends and a regular writer for the magazine. In addition, Dr. Halevi is also a researcher and published several articles in peer reviewed journals. Her areas of expertise are research evaluation and impact, bibliometrics, global scientific trends and international research collaborations. Previous to her work at Elsevier, Dr. Haevi was an information specialist providing competitive intelligence services for pharmaceutical and financial companies. Dr. Halevi received her Master’s degree in Library & Information Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and her PhD in Information Science from Long Island University in New York.
