The Witness CARES program is a culturally targeted community outreach program designed to increase knowledge about colorectal cancer in the African American community and improve adherence to recommended screening guidelines. The educational presentation is roughly 90 minutes and includes a culturally based educational video reviewing facts about colorectal cancer and screenings, while also providing valuable resources. Programs are held at Mount Sinai and throughout the New York City community. For more information, contact Clarissa Martinez at 212-824-7803, or Karent Zorogastua at 212-824-7806.
