The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai serves as the coordinating center of the New York State Children’s Environmental Health Centers (NYSCHECK), with partner centers located in Albany, Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, Westchester, and Long Island. NYSCHECK is the first state-wide, publicly funded model for children’s environmental health clinical services in the United States. Each year, Children's Environmental Health (CEH) Day is recognized on the second Thursday of Children’s Health Month to highlight the vital connection between healthy environments and healthy children.
