ARDUINO & BASIC ELECTRONICS: Beginner Hands On Workshop (2nd edition)
Learn electronics and Arduino by creating real projects, from simple circuits to interactive functional devices!
Saturdays, from Feb 14 to Mar 14 9AM - 1PM
Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai - ( Room 10-84 )
Limited to 10 participants - Free, just bring your PC/MAC(+USB adaptor)
About the workshop: This hands-on course introduces the basics of electronics and Arduino programming in a practical, beginner friendly way. You’ll learn how to work with sensors, boards, and components to design small, functional projects (e.g., a safe, a temperature controlled computer fan, an adaptive lamp, a theremin or piano), as well as neuroscience inspired behavioral setups (such as a social interaction meter or a cue triggered reward delivery system). Along the way, you’ll be surprised to master concepts that may seem distant at first, including transistors, capacitors, analog vs. digital signals, pulse width modulation, and serial communication. Commitment to all five sessions is the only requirement. No prior experience required just curiosity and willingness to learn!
