Kalmon D. Post, MD, Chair Emeritus of the Department of Neurosurgery, established this lectureship to foster the memory of his father, Dr. Bernard Post, the quintessential physician, and of his mother, Jeannette Dolgin-Post, a dogged litigator and a woman ahead of her time.
This year's honored speaker is Dr. Joseph E. Herrera, the Lucy G. Moses Professor and System Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation and Human Performance at the Mount Sinai Health System.
Dr. Herrera joined Mount Sinai following the completion of an Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine Fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He completed his residency and served as Chief Resident in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation through the combined program of Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Herrera is fellowship-trained in fluoroscopic-guided and ultrasound-guided procedures for painful spine and joint conditions. He currently serves as an Official Medical Provider for Red Bull North America where he evaluates, treats, and maximizes the performance of Red Bull-sponsored athletes.
