Emotional changes are common when living with a chronic movement disorder like Parkinson's disease. Yet, application of cognitive-behavioral strategies can reduce added stress and enhance quality of life. The Nash Family Center for Advanced Circuit Therapeutics invites you to a 4-week course, introducing practical skills to manage mood-related thoughts, behaviors, and movement symptoms.
Who is eligible?
• Individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease are encouraged to attend
• Participants must reside in New York State
• Depending on the most up-to-date emergency telehealth policies, New Jersey residents may qualify
• Services are covered by most insurances
• If out-of-network, there is a $30 fee per session
What will sessions entail?
The 4-week workshop will teach skills to help you reduce added stress associated with the management of a chronic diagnosis.
You will learn strategies to reduce stress, increase relaxation, cope with negative thoughts, and reduce avoidance.
