Educational Lecture Series: Neurocritical Care

The Department of Neurosurgery at Mount Sinai is offering a twice-a-week educational seminar series, open to all students interested in neurosurgery.

Virtual academic sessions are conducted by leading neurosurgery faculty members in each neurosurgical sub-specialty. Students will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with our faculty.

After each session, students will take a brief survey to evaluate the seminars and provide feedback.    

Learning Objectives​​​​​​

  • Secure basic knowledge and foundation for each sub-specialty area in neurosurgery
  • Survey recent advances and changes in practice of neurosurgery
  • Develop knowledge to support procedural skills needed as an intern and junior resident
  • Prepare for a virtual interview season
  • Gain an better understanding of the experience of neurosurgery, including work-life balance, training environments, opportunities for innovation and clinical practice
