Mount Sinai Health System

Early Onset Stroke

Stroke is not just an “older person’s disease.” An estimated 10 percent of stroke patients are younger than 50, and trends are increasing among young adults. Mount Sinai Health System offers an Early Onset Stroke Support Group at the Mount Sinai Union Square campus for survivors of stroke between the ages of 21 and 50 and those who love them.

The support group is intended to provide you and your loved ones an open session to learn from others’ experiences, share your own, exchange ideas, and share support. Guidance, information, and resources will also be provided by Mount Sinai’s group facilitators.
